A delegation from Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India visited to ICAR-CSWRI Avikanagar on 24.09.2022. The delegation include Ajit Chavan ji, Secretary, Textile Committee, Mumbai, Gopal Bhati ji, Executive Director, Central Wool development Board, Gowardhan Raika ji, Chairman, Central Wool development Board, Dr. K. K. Mishra ji, Director, Wool Research Association, Mumbai and other 20 delegates from various parts of the country. The delegation has seen Avishaan sheep, Dubma sheep, Rabbit unit, Wool shearing, Wool processing and Biotechnology related activities of the institute. The delegation also visited to the Agri-Business Incubation Centre of the Institute and appreciated the institute activities. During the interaction, Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar, Director, explained the research mandate and vision of the institute to all the stakeholders. Opportunities of possible collaborations were also discussed. The visit was led by Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar, Director and coordinated by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Vinod Kadam and Dr. Rajeev Kumar. The sector visit was coordinated by Dr. R. S. Bhatt, Dr. R. C. Sharma, Dr. S. S. Dangi and Mr. N. L. Meena.
A day before on 23.09.2022, ICAR-CSWRI participated in a stakeholders workshop organized by Central Wool development Board, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. Institute research activities were deliberated before the Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, Secretary, Textiles Committee, Executive Director, Central Wool Development Board, Chairman, Central Wool Development Board and around 100 delegated from industry, academia and animal husbandry departments of various states.
