BackKisan Gosthi cum sheep distribution organized at ARC, Bikaner under Institute SCSP

Kisan gosthi cum sheep distribution was organized on 28^th May, 2022 at ICAR-CSWRI, ARC, Bikaner under Institute SCSP for livelihood improvement of SC-BPL farmers of Pallu, Hanumangarh. Hon’ble DDG (AS) Dr B N Tripathi was chief guest of the programme. The occasion was also graced by Dr A Sahoo, Director, NRCC, Bikaner, Dr Yashpal, Director, NRCE, Hisar, Dr Raghvender Singh, Head (AP&B), ICAR-CSWRI, Avikanagar, Dr Nirmala Saini, PS & Head, ARC, Bikaner. Dr Singh welcome all the dignitaries and brief about the ongoing activities and also highlighted the significant achievements of the institute. Dr Saini brief about the activities and achievements of ARC, Bikaner. Dr Sahoo gave emphasis on integrated livestock farming for doubling the farmers income. Dr Yashpal brief the importance of equine in animal husbandry. Hon’ble DDG (AS) Dr B NTripathi,  appreciated the research carried out by CSWRI for enhancing the production of small ruminant and stressed upon the PM’s dream of doubling the farmers’ income and emphasized for adopting new and innovative technologies developed by CSWRI and other ICAR Institute/Universities. In this context he expressed that sheep and goat husbandry can play a vital role especially in dry areas to upliftment of socio-economic status of farmers. In the last, 26 units of sheep (Total 78) were distributed to SC-BPL sheep farmers of Pallu for genetic improvement of their flock. Vote of thanks was given by Dr Ashish Chopra, Sr Scientist.
