On 31.03.2022 (Thursday), the Southern Regional Research Centre (SRRC) of ICAR-CSWRI, Mannavanur organized a “Farmer-Scientist Interface” meet in the Seminar Hall of Water Technology Centre, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore wherein 40 broiler rabbit rearing farmers belonging to the western districts of Tamil Nadu viz., Coimbatore, Erode, Tiruppur, Salem etc., participated. This is the fourth meeting in the row, from Chennai, Chidambaram and Puducherry meets. Dr. Puthira Prathap, Pr. Scientist, Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore graced the occasion and delivered an address to the gathering.

Dr. A. S. Rajendiran, Principal Scientist & OIC of SRRC, Mannavanur interacted with the broiler rabbit farmers along with Dr. S. Jegaveera Pandian, Sr. Scientist and Dr. Pachaiyappan K, Scientist of the centre. Many queries relating to health, production, feeding, breeding and marketing management of commercial broiler rabbitry were discussed in the meet and the members of the newly formed broiler rabbit farmers associations of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry participated and felicitated Dr. A. S. Rajendiran, who got relieved from SRRC Mannavanur to join his service at Head Quarters ICAR-CSWRI, Avikanagar.
