BackMalpura sheep distributed to Schedule Cast farmers under Malpura Mega Sheep Seed Project

 In the Malpura Project under MSSP, Malpura sheep distributed to Schedule Cast farmers at sector 18 on 29.06.2021. In this programme eight SC farmers have been benefited with each farmer three Malpura sheep, one trunk 6ftx3ft size, one solar torch, one bucket and one 2lt steel bottle. In the programme Dr P K Mallick, PI MSSP, Malpura sheep welcomed to all dignitary and farmers from different villages. In-charges Heads of Animal Genetics &Breeding, Animal Nutrition and Animal Health Dr RC Sharma, Dr R S Bhat and Dr SR Sharma were present and interacted with farmers towards breed improvement, feeding management of lambs and prevention of contagious disease respectively. Chief Guest Dr Arun Tomar, Director of the ICAR-SWRI explain overall development of breed improvement and scientific sheep rearing. He also emphasised don’t keep the disease animals in the herd, those having zoonotic disease. Dr Ajay Kumar, Nodal officer SCSP Scheme and Dr Rajiv Kumar, ABT were also present in that programme. During the interactive meet, farmers were raised their sheep health issues like mange, abortion and diarrhoea  etc and put up their views and interacted with different subject matter specialists Dr. P. K. Mallick, Pr. Scientist (AG&B) and Principal Investigator of Malpura sheep project coordinated the programme and thanked the officials and farmers who have attended the meeting.
