BackDistribution of 40 Elite Sirohi bucks for Lady TSP farmers of Salumbar area in KisanSangoshti at KVK, Badgaon



One day KisanSangoshti at Vidyabhawan KVK, Badgaon, Udaipur was organized in which about 50 Lady TSP farmers attended the programme on 24.02.2021 under the TSP components of Network projects running at ARC, Bikaner. Dr Arun Kumar Tomar, Honorable Director, ICAR-CSWRI, Avikanagar was Chief guest in this programme. At the onset of programme, Dr Deepak Jain, Head, KVK, Badgaon welcomed all the dignitaries and started the programme. Dr. P. C. Bhatnagar, SMS, KVK, Badgaon briefed about the activities undertaken by KVK, Badgaon, Udaipur. Dr Arun Kumar, Director narrated about the benefits and economics of goat rearing in hilly region of Udaipur. He insisted farmers to rear such species which is sustainable in their region depending on available resources in their area. He also invited to lady farmers to attend International Women day which is going to be celebrated at Avikanagar on 08.03.2021.  Dr Ajay Mehta, President, Vidyabhawan group also graced the occasion and praised the steps taken in collaboration of ARC, CSWRI and KVK, Badgaon for the benefits of TSP farmers of Udaipur area. Dr Bhupendra Bhardwaj, Deputy Director, AH Deptt, Udaipur guaranteed the farmers to have frequent visit of his officials to provide all kind of possible support including health inputs in their villages. This KisanSanghoshti was organized for about 50 Lady TSP farmers of new area at Manpur, Ghated etc villages from Salumbar area. These farmers are mainly associated with Basic Health Care Services and Ajeevika NGO. Dr Pavitra Mohan from Basic Health Care Services narrated about the activities of his NGO and inspired the farmers to utilize poultry and goat rearing in balanced nutrition diet. Dr Ganesh Sonwane, PS & Nodal officer narrated the government schemes and mandates of TSP activities. Dr Ashish Chopra, Sr Scientist narrated the activities of ARC, Bikaner and also discussed the plan to be undertaken to lift the status of TSP farmers in next few years under the guidance and association of officials from ARC, Bikaner and KVK, Badgaon. Dr Chandan Prakash, Scientist discussed about the health management of goat rearing and narrated the important vaccination to be used in sheep & goat. Forty elite Sirohi bucks were distributed among TSP farmers. Along with Sirohi bucks, other benefits like 5 kg Multi Nutrient Mixture, Plastic tub, Led Torch, Umbrella, Water bottles were also distributed among farmers from TSP components of Magra field unit and Marwari Unit of ARC, Bikaner. Mr Madan Lal, TO and Mr Pradeep Singh, Technician from ARC, Bikaner involved in transportation of bucks and benefits to Udaipur and managed the registration of TSP farmers during the Kisansanghoshti.
