BackSRRC, Mannavanur organized 56th Foundation Day
On the eve of 56th Foundation Day, the Southern Regional Research Centre of ICAR-CSWRI, Mannavanur organized a Webinar entitled "Sheep & Rabbit Farming Systems as entities to Double the Farmers' Income by 2022: Opportunities and Challenges" on 20/ 11/ 2020 at SRRC Campus, Mannavanur. The event was organized in Google meet platform between 11 AM and an extended time period of 1 15 PM. Dr Arun Kumar Tomar, Hon’ble Director, ICAR-CSWRI, inaugurated the webinar sessions and addressed the participants. In his presidential address the Director, urged the staff of SRRC to work further in the direction of Sheep & Rabbit farming community welfare, for which he also expressed his solidarity and support from the Avikanagar HQ. Dr A S Rajendiran, OIC SRRC Mannavanur, presented about the overview of the needs and deeds of the webinar and also, he introduced the centre to the participants. Dr A Sahoo, Head AN, CSWRI, Dr S R Sharma Head, Health Division, CSWRI, Dr Vaithiyanathan, Ex Director, NRC Meat, also addressed the participants and conveyed their wishes to the Webinar.
A total number of 100 participants including 75 sheep farmers & Rabbit clients, entrepreneurs and 25 experts in different disciplines from various parts of the country including Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh actively participated in the webinar. Scientists of the centre interacted with the participants on various aspects of Sheep and Rabbit farming and as many as forty farm queries were attended and necessary advice were provided.
