BackICAR-CSWRI, Arid Region Campus Organised Kisan goshti at Kotda Village of Bikaner
One day Kisan goshti at Kotda village of Bikaner was organized in Magra field project under Network Project of Sheep Improvement program on 29.11.2019. About 75 sheep farmers participated in the program. At the onset of programme Dr H K Narula, Head welcomed the dignitaries and farmers. Dr. Raghvendar Singh, Director cum PC, ICAR- CSWRI, Avikangar interacted with farmers and emphasized on adoption of scientific technology to bring improvement in the flock. Sh Suresh Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer, ICAR-CSWRI, Avikanagar also interacted with the farmers and discussed the benefits of the project. Dr H K Narula, Head, ARC, CSWRI Bikaner guided the sheep farmers for various breeding technology for upliftment of the flock status. Dr Ashish Chopra emphasized on further strengthening of animal identification so that accurate data can be maintained in the project. Dr Nirmala Saini told farmers about benefits of nutritional interventions. Dr Ashok Kumar discussed with farmers about reproductive management and inspire them to adopt Estrous synchronization /Artificial Insemination technology for additional benefits from the existing flock. Dr Chandan Prakash explained health intervention and its profits in the flock by using timely vaccination, drenching and other preventive measurements. Few benefits were also distributed among adopted sheep farmers as per the mandate of the project. Director, CSWRI cum PC, NWPSI also evaluated the performance of Magra and Marwari projects at centre. Director, CSWRI and CAO, CSWRI also planted the tree.
