BackKisan Sangosthi organized at KVK, Badgaon, Udaipur under Tribal Sub Plan on 09th July 2019

Kisan Sangosthi was organized on the 9^th July, 2019 at KVK, Badgaon, Udaipur under Tribal Sub Plan of Network Project on Marwari to aware the tribal farmers about scientific sheep and goat farming to improve livelihood and nutritional security of the tribal farmers. A total of thirty five interested tribal farmers from Bekria and Sulav villages of Kotda Tehsil of Udaipur district participated in the programme. The programme was coordinated by Dr. H K Narula (Principal Scientist & Head) and Dr Ashish Chopra (Sr. Scientist), ICAR-CSWRI ARC, Bikaner. Dr Anand Singh Jodha (In-Charge KVK) and Dr P Bhatnagar (SMS, KVK) along with other faculty members graced the programme. The lectures were presented and interaction was made with farmers on integrated farming system emphasizing on importance of sheep and goat in scientific agriculture to double farmers income. Dr H K Narula gave lecture on the overall scientific management of sheep and goat to get maximum profit from rearing of small ruminants. Dr Ashish Chopra presented lecture on the health management and vaccination schedule of sheep and goat. In this programme one quintal Concentrate feed was also distributed to each farmer along with extension material and registration kit.
