BackCelebration of International Yoga Day at Southern Regional Research Centre, Mannavanur

Southern Regional Research Centre (SRRC of ICAR-CSWRI), Mannavanur, celebrated 5^th International Yoga Day on 21^st June 2019. A team consisting 80 students & 8 teaching staff from the Govt. Higher Secondary school, Mannavanur, also actively participated in the program. Mr. S. Muruganantham, Head Master of the participating school was the chief guest and Mr. Sivasethupathy, Manager, PNB, Mannavanur was the guest of honour. Dr. A. S. Rajendiran, Officer In-charge of the centre welcomed the students & guests and presented with orientation of the program. Mr. Siva Sethupathy, Manager, PNB, Mannavanur in his speech explained the importance & various factual to the students in understanding yoga. School Head Master Mr. S. Muruganantham expressed his happiness up on having partnered such an even at SRRC. Mr. Subramanian, GHSS teacher cum Yoga Master demonstrated and explained in order to follow,  important yogasanas for the students & staff present. The participants of both SRRC and the school, actively participated and performed various Aasanas with full of enthusiasm. Further, all the participants were much interested in performing yoga and   they would be certainly performing Yoga in their routine life owing to the beneficial effects of Yoga learnt by them. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks, proposed by Dr. P. Thirumurugan.
