A training program on “Demonstration of Estrus Synchronization & Artificial Insemination (AI) in Sheep” sponsored by Mega Sheep Seed Project and Network Project on sheep improvement from 01.08.13 to 07.08.13 was conducted  at CSWRI, Avikanagar. Honorable vice chancellor, RAJUVAS, Bikaner, Prof. A. K. Gahlot presided over valedictory function as a chief guest. Dr. S M K Naqvi, Director, CSWRI welcomed the chief guest and introduced the gathering with his outstanding research credentials. He also explained the background of the training program. Course coordinator of the program, Dr. Davendra Kumar briefed about activities conducted during the program.  The program was included theory and practical sessions on ovine reproductive technology, semen collection, semen processing, estrus synchronization and artificial insemination in field, etc. Participants from various parts of country praised the program and appreciated the efforts put in by CSWRI.  Certificates were distributed to all the participants by the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest appreciated CSWRI and Dr. S M K Naqvi, in particular, for his initiative in trainers training program on oestrus synchronization and artificial insemination. He emphasized on need of new technologies in animal sector and said that in today’s era, research and development is now converted into research for development. The program was coordinated by Er. Vinod Kadam, HRD section along with vote of thanks. The program ended with National Anthem.
