BackICAR-Sponsored Short Course Inaugurated at ICAR-CSWRI
A 10 days short course on “Laparoscope aided Artificial insemination and Embryo transfer” organised by Division of Animal Physiology and Biochemistry from 14-23rd January 2019, at ICAR-CSWRI, Avikanagar. The training programme started on 14 January, 2019 and is sponsored by Education Division, ICAR, New Delhi. Thirteen participants belonging to five states (Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka and West Bengal) are attending the training. The inaugural session was chaired by Director Dr. Arun Kumar with all the Heads of the Division/sections, In-charge HRD and scientists from the concerned division. Dr. Arun Kumar, Director, CSWRI welcomed the participants and introduced the gathering with institute research activity. He also highlighted the importance of sheep husbandry in the current socio-economic scenario and scope of entrepreneurship in this sector. Head of the Division, Dr. Raghvendar Singh, briefed about the activities to be conducted during the program. The program will include theory and practical sessions on laparoscope assisted reproductive technology to improve sheep productivity. Hands on training will be imparted during practical sessions on important areas like estrus synchronization, superovulation, artificial insemination, embryo transfer and early pregnancy diagnosis. The Short course program is Directed by Dr. Krishnappa and co-coordinated by Dr. Davendra Kumar and Dr. Sanghratna Bahire.
