BackValedictory function of training on ”Advances in Small Ruminant Production System”

Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute successfully organized fifteen days training programme on “Advances in Small Ruminant Production System” from 21.02.2018 to 07.03.2018. Twenty two Veterinary Officers and Assistant Directors from six different states (Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh) have benefited from this training. The chief guest Dr. S.P.S. Ahlawat former Director and Vice-chancellor, Deemed University, IVRI and former VC, Ujjain University, presided over the valedictory function.  The course-coordinator, Dr. Krishnappa B., briefed about activities conducted during the programme. The trainees have shown keen interest and involved in all theory and practical classes. Four participants gave their feed-back on the training and conveyed that the programme has improved their confidence on many practical aspects. In the presidential address, Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar congratulated all the participants for successful completion of their training and urged to disseminate the knowledge and skills learnt from this training. The chief guest Dr. S.P.S. Ahlawat, addressed the bio-diversity of the nation and importance of conserving the bio-diversity in particular to sheep breeds of the country. He also encouraged all scientists for their sincere efforts made in developing new strains of sheep to fulfil the demands of the nation.  The Chief Guest released the training compendium and distributed the certificates all the participants for their successful completion of programme.
