BackOrganization of Chopal program at Ambada Tribal village of Dungarpur District of Rajasthan by CSWRI, Avikanagar



The Indian Council of Agricultural Research - Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute, Avikanagar organized a Chopal program on 9th July, 2016 at Ambada Tribal village of Galiakot Block of Dungarpur District in Rajasthan.

 

The hon`ble  Shri  Khem Raj  Ji, Principal Secretary (Tribal Area Development ), Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur  was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the Chopal program on 9th July, 2016. Smt. Surya Ahari, Pardhan, Galiyakot was the special invitee for this function. Hon`ble Shri Surender Kumar Ji, Solanki, District Collector, Dungarpur presided the function. Principal Secretary (Tribal Area Development) addressed the gathering of the tribal farmers in the Chopal program and emphasized the need of adaptation of scientific technologies in the live stock and Agricultural sector for the development which in turn impacts the socio-economic status and lively hood of the tribal population.

 On this occasion Hon`ble District Collector, Dungarpur reiterated the use of developmental schemes launched by the government for the holistic development of tribal peoples. He encouraged them to come forward and take full advantage of the tribal’s schemes. 

The participant tribal farmers of the Ambada Gram Panchyat of Galiakot Block were provided Fodder seed like Cenchrus grass (25kg), Sudan grass (15kg), Bajra (50kg), Maize (130kg), Moong (55kg), Urd (40kg) & Veterinary Medicines Kits (25) by the dignitaries of the function under the TSP Project at this occasion..

About 230 tribal farmers participated in this program including tribal women.
