Back51st foundation day of the Institute was celebrated on 04-01-2013
The 51st foundation day of the Institute was celebrated with grate enthusiasm and gaiety on 04th January 2013. Distinguished A S R B Member Dr. S. K. Bandyopadhyay, was the chief guest of the occasion and Dr. S.C. Gupta, ADG (AP&B) ICAR was the guest of honour.
The program started with lighting the lamp and Students of KV-Avikanagar welcomed the guests with a Welcome song and performed traditional folk dance. Director, CSWRI, Dr. S.M.K. Naqvi addressed the staff members, local dignitary and other guests with a briefing about institute’s recent achievements.
Dr. S.C. Gupta shared his experiences at Avikanagar as a scientist and praise the scientists of institute for doing notable research work despite the problems faced in a remote area. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bandyopadhyay appreciated the achievements of the institute and exhorted the scientists and staff to work harder for the institute.
To encourage the performance merit of staff members Institute started awarding the outstanding performance of staff members from this year onwards on this occasion. Dr. LLL Prince, Sr. Scientist (AGB), Sh. Tarun Kumar Jain (Lab Technician T-3), Sh. Abdul Aziz (Asst.) and Sh. Narayan Lal Meena, (Skilled support staff) received awards for their outstanding performance.
Earlier, Dr. Bandyopadhyay also inaugurated the office building at sector No-9 and visited the live stock form sheep, goat and rabbit units at different sectors. He also took keen interest in functioning of wool processing plant at TMTC Division.
Achievements of all scientific, administrative engineering and support sections were highlighted by the respective HOD’s and Incharges.
