Research Advisory Committee Meeting of ICAR-Central Sheep & Wool Research Institute, Avikanagar held on 4^th and 5^th May, 2016 under the Chairmanship of Dr. V.K. Taneja former Deputy Director General (AS), ICAR. Dr. K.P. Agrawal, former National Coordinator, NATP/NAIP and Dr. S.K. Rastogi, Professor and Head, GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar attended the meeting. Dr. S.M.K. Naqvi Director, CSWRI apprised the research work being conducted by the Institute.  The committee appreciated the work of the institute and advised to scientists that projects should be taken in context of present scenario of sheep husbandry in the country. Committee further stressed upon initiation of projects taken into consideration on Mera Goan Mera Gaurav and Gram Uday Bharat Uday. Committee also suggested to double the sheep production by developing innovative projects. The committee visited various animal sectors, laboratories and interacted with the scientists.  Committee also visited adopted village and interacted with the farmers and seen the activities of the Institute in the village.
