BackDistribution of superior germplasm of Sheep & Goat by ICAR - CSWRI, Avikanagar under Tribal sub - Plan Project at Tribal Village Vardha Sagwara block of Dungarpur
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research - Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute, Avikanagar organized a Tribal Kishan Gosthy Cum distribution of elite germplasm of Rams & Bucks at Vardha village of Sagwara Block, Dungarpur District of Rajasthan on 05.03.2016 under Tribal sub Plan Project. The total population of tribal communities is 9, 83,437, which contribute about 74.4 % of total population of Dungarpur district. The caste composition of tribal communities includes Bhil, Bhil–mina, Garasia, Damor, Damaria, Dungri bhil & Dungri garasia.
On this occasion improved technologies on sheep & goat were demonstrated. Twenty (20) Tribal beneficiaries were provided elite germplasm of sheep (10 Rams) and goat (10 Bucks), Veterinary Medicine kits 100 number, Cenchrus grass seed 50 kg, Azolla green fodder seed10 kg, Maize seed 100 kg, Fodder bajra seed 15 kg and Fodder sorghum seed 25 kg were distributed to Tribal beneficiaries under the Project. Total 135 tribal beneficiaries including women were participated and benefited by this program.
A Tribal Kishan Gosthy at Tribal Village Vardha, Sagwara Block, Dungarpur District was also organized on 05.03.2016. A total of 135 tribal beneficiaries were participated in the program. The tribal families were encouraged in the program to use improved technologies of small ruminant production to improve their socio- economic status and livelihood.
