BackThree day training programme for farmers organized

Three day training programme on “Scientific Sheep rearing” was organized by division of Transfer of Technology and Social Sciences from 08 October -10 October 2014. A total of 27 Raika community sheep farmers from Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan participated in the programme. The programme was sponsored by Shiksha Rojgar Kendra Prabhandhak Samiti (SRKPS), Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan). SRKPS, Jhunjhunu is a non-profit organization that has an experience of 26 years in various fields. In the training, farmers were given exposure to sheep breeding, nutrition, health, physiology, fodder crops, wool technology etc. in detail with practical sessions. Scientists from different divisions interacted with farmers in the classes and solved their problems. The participant farmers visited exhibition unit, sector 9, 12, 15, 18, goat sector and watershed fodder demonstration unit of the institute.
