BackInauguration of AI training program at CSWRI on 20.08.14

A training program on demonstration of oestrus synchronization and artificial insemination in sheep from Aug. 20-26, 2014 has been inaugurated at the institute on 20.08.14. Dr. Suresh Honnappagol, Animal Husbandry Commissioner, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India has presided over as the chief guest. The program is being sponsored by Central Wool Development Board, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India and Network Project on Sheep Improvement. Thirteen participants from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Rajasthan have joined the training program. Dr. Davendra Kumar, Course co-coordinator informed about practical activities, demonstration and hands on training to be conducted under the program. In the presidential address Dr. S. M. K. Naqvi explained genesis of the AI technique and its importance in the present era. The chief guest has appreciated the research activities of the institute and stressed upon need to disseminate AI technique at grass root level. On this occasion Dr. A. Sahoo, Dr. Arun Tomar, Dr. Dhirendra Singh, Dr. R. Gulyani, Dr. D. B. Shakywar Dr. Swarnkar were present. The program was coordinated by Er Vinod Kadam, Scientist, TMTC and HRD section.
