Back"ICAR-CSWRI’s CHETNA-2024: Empowering Agribusiness Entrepreneurs Nationwide"



 The Chetna Agribusiness Incubation Program at ICAR-CSWRI reached its conclusion on March 15, 2024, marking a significant milestone in fostering agricultural and animal husbandry entrepreneurship, especially in sheep, goat and rabbit sector across India. Led by Dr.NeeruBhoshan, ADG, IPTM Unit of ICAR and coordinated by Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar, Director, ICAR-CSWRI, the program, held from March 4 to 12, saw participation from over 16 entrepreneurs and startups from eight states, engaging in insightful discussions and presentations on their entrepreneurial journeys.

During CHETNA-2024, a plethora of enriching activities was conducted to nurture entrepreneurial spirit and innovation. From online lectures by esteemed national and international figures to offline discussions and presentations by budding entrepreneurs, the program offered a dynamic platform for learning and networking. Workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions facilitated knowledge exchange and skill development, empowering participants to tackle challenges and seize emerging opportunities in the agricultural sector. Through collaborative efforts between scientists from Avikanagar and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, CHETNA-2024 not only inspired but also equipped attendees with the tools and insights needed to drive sustainable growth and transformation in agribusiness.

Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director of NIMPHET Kolkata, and Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar, Director of ICAR-CSWRI, the event explored avenues for industry expansion and collaboration, emphasizing the potential of natural fibres and addressing challenges in agriculture and animal husbandry. With a focus on technology and innovation, stakeholders exchanged ideas and explored opportunities for future growth.

The culmination of the three-day residential meeting sparked discussions on new ventures and collaborations, paving the way for a vibrant future in agribusiness. Dr. Vinod Kadam, the Organizing Secretary, shed light on the program's outline and activities, both online and offline, and encouraged all participants to continue active participation for next 6 months with their allotted technical mentors. Dr.Ajit Singh Mahla extended gratitude for the successful culmination of Chetna-2024.
